The handler, which is often referred to as a telehandler, is a 4 wheel heavy-duty machine that can help drastically as it can lift much more than a person would be able to. They are often seen on construction sites when items such as large crates need to be moved.

What is a Telehandler?

A Telehandler is a very useful machine that is very commonly used in basic construction work. The ability to lift very large objects is a skill that we are unfortunately not blessed with.

However, with our telehandlers - we are able to successfully lift these due to the strength and power behind the Boom Lift. We specialize in providing the training courses that you require to legally use one of these great pieces of equipment and can heavily assist you by providing all the support you require to sit through this telehandler training course.

Telehandler Licence

To receive this Telehandler Licence, you must partake in a 5-day telehandler training course that will completely educate you on all aspects of the telescopic handler. However, this course is usually completed in 1-4 days.

4 days are for complete training to ensure that you know all of the features of how to correctly operate the machine and the final day will be used for a theoretical and practical test to ensure that you know how to use the machinery before providing the licence. To begin the practical training, you first must have valid health and safety and environment test completed within the last 24 months.

Although it seems very stressful, it is crucial that you know how to operate the equipment correctly because it is a very large piece of machinery that could do a lot of damage in the wrong hands. The course is finalised by a theoretical and practical test. You will be fully prepared for the CPCS technical tests to make sure you obtain your telehandler operator card.

Successful delegates of any of our CPCS telehandler course categories will be CPCS trained and will gain the CPCS red card. This CPCS red trained operator card is only valid for 2 years, so you will need to renew it then. However, pending successful completion, you will be covered under relevant regulations until this operator card expires after 2 years, you will have all the training requirements you need.

We are a very reputable telescopic handler training company and can provide you with the best experience necessary to get your licence. For further information, please feel free to get in touch with our team today.

CPCS Telescopic Handler Training

The CPCS telescopic handler training course that is required to receive your license to allow you to legally operate a Boom Lift is crucial. When you are behind the wheel of one of these machines, you will realize that you are dealing with a very dangerous piece of equipment.

The large machinery weighs so much that there need to be many precautions taken and when the large, heavy objects are being lifted on these machines, it becomes even heavier.

The training course will protect you and the people around you from any injuries as it will show you how to safely use everything related to the Boom Lift. For example, knowing how to appropriately load the Telehandler is essential as it will prevent you from dropping heavy loads on other workers or any other people and possibly injuring them.

The machinery could also tip if a particular load is securely strapped but is too heavy and this could damage the whole Telescopic Handler which could result in major costs and damages.

Our team provide further information through emails! Please contact us if you are looking to ask any specific questions and we will be more than happy to answer your questions swiftly and effectively!
